CG Power reported its strongest quarterly performance in recent times for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Standalone sales grew 25% year-on-year to INR 2,643 Cr, EBITDA rose 18% to INR 407 Cr, and profit after tax increased 23% to INR 286 Cr. Order intake surged 56% YoY to INR 4,764 Cr, pushing the order backlog to a robust INR 11,971 Cr (up 70% YoY). The Power Systems segment led growth with 43% YoY sales increase and 21.1% margins, while Industrial Systems grew 16% YoY with margins softening to 10.9% on commodity price pressure. On the consolidated side, sales grew 29% to INR 2,878 Cr and PAT rose 11% to INR 267 Cr, with the first inclusion of newly acquired Axiro Semiconductor business.
Strong topline and order book growth signal healthy demand momentum, though slight margin compression in Industrial Systems is a watchpoint. The recently concluded INR 3,000 Cr QIP (oversubscribed 3x) and large new orders from PGCIL and Railways reinforce growth visibility and are positive for shareholders.
