CG Power has won an order from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) for the supply and servicing of 765kV Transformer Package 7TR-12-Bulk, involving 765/400 KV 1-phase transformers. The total order value is approximately Rs. 641 crores (USD 74 million), and the company states this is the highest single order it has ever received. Supply of goods is expected to be completed over 18 to 36 months. CG Power is an established player in the transformer business with an 88-year legacy and offers power transformers ranging from 25 kVA to 1500 MVA, covering 11kV to 765kV class.
