CG Semi starts commercial production at G1 OSAT facility in Sanand

CG Semi's G1 OSAT facility in Sanand, Gujarat has begun commercial production. The facility, inaugurated in August 2025, has a peak capacity of 300 million units per year. CG Semi is a JV between CG Power (Murugappa Group), Renesas Electronics, and Stars Microelectronics. The JV is investing over 7,600 crore over five years across two facilities, with G2 still under development. The plant serves automotive, defence, industrial and IoT sectors. The launch was attended by PM Modi and other dignitaries.
