Chadha Papers Limited has informed BSE about publishing its unaudited quarterly results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025) in English and Hindi newspapers, as required under SEBI Listing Regulations. Standalone and consolidated numbers are identical as the company has only one non-material wholly-owned subsidiary. Total income from operations fell to Rs. 12,231.92 lakhs from Rs. 15,634.61 lakhs in the same quarter last year, a drop of about 22%. The company swung from a net profit of Rs. 318.39 lakhs in Q1 FY25 to a net loss of Rs. 471.38 lakhs in Q1 FY26. Basic and diluted EPS turned negative at Rs. (4.62) versus Rs. 3.12 a year ago. The company also flagged that the land on which its plant operates (taken on a 30-year lease from promoters at Re. 1) is up for renewal and management is in the process of getting it renewed, though it currently expects no material impact on operations.
The numbers are weak — a sharp YoY revenue decline combined with a swing to a loss is negative for shareholders and likely to weigh on the stock. The pending promoter-land lease renewal is an additional governance overhang to watch, although the company believes it will not disrupt operations.
