Chalet Hotels has allotted 10,000 equity shares of Rs.10 face value to an eligible employee under its ESOP 2022 plan at an exercise price of Rs.292 per share, raising Rs.29.20 lakh. The total share count has increased marginally from 21,89,84,127 to 21,89,94,127 shares. The new shares rank pari-passu with existing equity shares and carry no lock-in. So far, about 10,09,532 options have been exercised out of 12,17,831 granted under the scheme, with 11,11,396 vested and 1,06,435 lapsed. The diluted EPS post-allotment stands at Rs.22.78 on a standalone basis and Rs.22.02 on a consolidated basis.
This is a routine, small ESOP allotment with negligible dilution (about 0.005% increase in share count). No material impact on share price or shareholder value is expected from this disclosure.
