Chambal Fertilisers shared its Q1 FY 2025-26 investor presentation. Standalone sales rose 16% YoY to Rs 5,698 Cr and PAT grew 16% to Rs 638 Cr, though EBITDA was nearly flat at Rs 929 Cr. Urea volumes were hit by an unscheduled stoppage at the G2 plant, but P&K fertilisers and the Crop Protection Chemicals (CPC) and Specialty Nutrients (SN) businesses showed strong growth, with CPC/SN revenue up 32% YoY and contribution up 26%. The company also entered the seeds business with two hybrid varieties launched in Q1, and reiterated its FY 26-27 target of ~Rs 1,500 Cr revenue and ~Rs 350 Cr contribution from the combined CPC, SN and Seeds segments. The Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) project is around 80% complete, with Rs 918 Cr spent out of the total Rs 1,645 Cr budget.
Mixed quarter: weakness in core urea due to the G2 plant stoppage was partly offset by strong growth in value-added and new businesses, which is positive for long-term diversification. The multi-year growth targets and steady TAN project progress provide a constructive outlook, though the near-term impact of lower urea production may weigh on sentiment.
