Allied Blenders and Distillers (ABDL) announced a change in its Company Secretary and Compliance Officer role. Mr. Ritesh Shah stepped down from these positions with effect from the close of June 10, 2025, but will continue in his existing role as Chief Legal Officer. In his place, Mr. Sumeet Maheshwari, a qualified Company Secretary with 24+ years of experience across manufacturing, NBFC, and automobile sectors, has been appointed effective June 11, 2025. The change was approved by the Board on the recommendation of the Nomination & Remuneration Committee. Mr. Sumeet is not related to any Director of the Company.
This is a routine KMP-level change at the Company Secretary position; the outgoing official retains a senior role within the firm, and the incoming appointee brings extensive experience. No major governance red flag, and the change is unlikely to materially affect the stock price.
