Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABDL) announced a change in its Company Secretary and Compliance Officer roles effective June 10–11, 2025. Mr. Ritesh Shah stepped down as Company Secretary, Compliance Officer, and Key Managerial Personnel, but continues with the company as Chief Legal Officer and Senior Management Personnel. Mr. Sumeet Maheshwari, a qualified Company Secretary with 24+ years of experience across manufacturing, NBFC, and automobile sectors, has been appointed as the new Company Secretary, Compliance Officer, and KMP from June 11, 2025. The appointment was recommended by the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and approved by the Board. The new appointee is not related to any Director of the company.
This is a routine internal succession at the Company Secretary level with no change in business leadership. The outgoing CS continues in a legal role, and the incoming CS brings broad secretarial and governance experience, so the transition should not materially affect shareholders or the stock price.
