GMR Airports Limited has informed the stock exchanges that six Senior Management Personnel — Mr. Bhaskar Chandran, Mr. Amitabh Hajela, Mr. Saurabh Chawla, Mr. Ashish Jain, Mr. Kamal Saksena, and Mr. Rahul Shandilya — have been reassigned new roles within the broader GMR Group via inter-group transfers, effective June 1, 2025. These individuals will cease to be direct employees of the company but will continue working with the company in their new group-level roles. Notably, CFO Mr. Saurabh Chawla will be seconded back to the company on a full-time basis while also serving as Group CFO and Group Executive Director – Finance & Strategy for the GMR Group. The move is described as a group-level initiative to better leverage employee expertise.
This is largely an internal restructuring within the GMR Group rather than a loss of key talent. Since the CFO continues in his role through a secondment and the other SMPs will still serve the company, continuity of leadership and operations is expected to be maintained, with limited impact on shareholders.
