Chartered Capital & Investment Ltd reported audited results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025 with an unmodified (clean) audit opinion from M/s. F P & Associates. Total income for FY25 rose about 47.6% YoY to Rs. 1,175.63 lakhs, up from Rs. 796.32 lakhs in FY24. However, profit after tax was nearly flat at Rs. 538.51 lakhs versus Rs. 543.34 lakhs in FY24, with Q4 PAT actually falling sharply to Rs. 137.69 lakhs from Rs. 212.87 lakhs in Q4 FY24. EPS for FY25 stood at Rs. 17.88 (vs Rs. 18.04 in FY24), and total comprehensive income dropped sharply to Rs. 478.81 lakhs from Rs. 3,819.85 lakhs, largely because other comprehensive income swung from a large positive in FY24 to a small negative in FY25. The board also appointed M/s. Hussain Bootwala & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for five years (FY26–FY30), subject to shareholder approval.
Strong top-line growth is encouraging, but the company's profits depend heavily on investment-related 'other income' rather than core operations, which can make earnings volatile. The sharp drop in Q4 PAT and the steep fall in total comprehensive income versus last year are negatives for shareholders, though the balance sheet remains strong with minimal debt and growing reserves.
