Cholamandalam Financial Holdings released its Q4 FY26 investor presentation covering its core investment company structure and two main subsidiaries — Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (CIFCL), a listed NBFC, and Cholamandalam MS General Insurance (CMSGICL). Consolidated Q4 revenue grew 17% YoY to Rs 10,520 Cr and PAT grew 19% to Rs 1,626 Cr. Full-year FY26 revenue was Rs 39,576 Cr and PAT Rs 5,485 Cr. CIFCL's disbursements grew 15% to Rs 62,123 Cr with AUM up 18% to Rs 2,42,630 Cr. However, credit costs are rising: Vehicle Finance loan losses increased to 1.9% from 1.6%, and Home Loans to 1.0% from 0.4%. CMSGICL's GWP grew 6.9% to Rs 8,904 Cr but PAT fell sharply to Rs 331 Cr from Rs 507 Cr, with combined operating ratio deteriorating to 115.2% due to higher motor third-party reserving and inflation-linked provisions. The insurance subsidiary has not needed capital infusion in 13 years.
Strong top-line and profit growth in the core NBFC business, but rising loan loss provisions and sharply declining insurance subsidiary profitability are watch items for investors. The presentation does not contain formal multi-year guidance or new strategic initiatives.
