Cholamandalam Financial Holdings (CFHL) shared its Q1 FY26 corporate presentation covering its three key businesses. Consolidated revenue grew 22% YoY to ₹9,383 Cr, PAT rose 9% to ₹1,260 Cr, and EPS reached ₹30.81. Cholamandalam Investment and Finance (CIFCL) reported AUM of ₹1,92,148 Cr (up ~14% YoY) with disbursements of ₹24,325 Cr; Vehicle Finance disbursements grew 7% to ₹13,647 Cr, Loan Against Property surged 21% to ₹4,705 Cr, and Home Loans AUM grew 33% YoY. Chola MS General Insurance posted GWP of ₹1,997 Cr (up 2.7%) but PAT fell to ₹107 Cr from ₹134 Cr as combined ratio worsened to 114.8% from 108.8% YoY. ICRA upgraded its rating outlook on CIFCL to AA+ (Positive).
Mixed signals for shareholders: strong AUM growth and rating upgrade in NBFC business are positives, but rising loan losses in vehicle, LAP and home loans, plus a sharp deterioration in insurance combined ratio, signal near-term margin pressure. Watch for sustained credit costs and insurance pricing actions in coming quarters.
