Cipla has published its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2025 in newspapers, as required under SEBI's Listing Regulations. On a consolidated basis, revenue from continuing operations was largely flat at ₹3,719 crore compared to ₹3,789 crore in the same quarter last year. Profit after tax from continuing operations jumped to ₹316 crore from ₹175 crore a year ago, with EPS rising to ₹9.89 from ₹5.30. On a standalone basis, revenue grew about 12% year-on-year to ₹1,169 crore, and profit after tax rose to ₹307 crore from ₹256 crore, giving an EPS of ₹12.05 versus ₹10.05. Net worth on a consolidated basis stood at ₹23,215 crore with outstanding debt of ₹7,126 crore and a debt-equity ratio of 0.31.
Strong year-on-year profit growth on both consolidated and standalone bases, even on flat-to-modest revenue, suggests margin expansion. This is a positive signal for shareholders, though the topline softness versus last year may cap enthusiasm in the near term.
