Cipla's Board has approved the appointment of Mr Sushrut Kulkarni as President & Global Chief – Integrated Product Development (IPD), effective May 18, 2026. Kulkarni joins from Dr Reddy's Laboratories where he served as Global Head – IPDO and Management Council member. With a three-decade career spanning Glenmark, Zydus Lifesciences, Torrent Research Centre, Sandoz India, and Rhone Poulenc, he brings extensive R&D leadership experience across regulated and semi-regulated markets. The appointment makes him a member of Cipla's Management Council and Senior Management Personnel. The Board meeting also approved convening the 90th AGM on June 25, 2026, granted stock options and ESARs to employees, and appointed M/s Joshi Apte & Associates as Cost Auditors for FY 2026-27.
The appointment strengthens Cipla's senior leadership with an experienced R&D executive, which could accelerate the company's product development pipeline and enhance execution capabilities in regulated markets.
