City Union Bank's board has approved the appointment of Shri Venkatakrishnan S as the new Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for a period of two years, effective April 1, 2026. The current CRO, Shri. Kalyanaraman M, will step down on March 31, 2026 on account of superannuation (retirement). The incoming CRO is an internal candidate, currently serving as Senior Deputy General Manager in the bank's Risk Management department since July 2024. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant with 26 years of overall experience, including 19 years in banking, and has previously worked at RBL Bank, Barclays Bank, and ICICI Bank in credit and risk roles.
This is a planned, orderly internal succession at the CRO level with no disruption to risk management functions. For shareholders, this is a neutral, routine governance update and should not have any material impact on the stock.
