City Union Bank's Board, at its June 11, 2025 meeting, approved three key items. First, the Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13, 2025. Second, a dividend of 200% (Rs. 2 per equity share on a face value of Re. 1) has been declared for FY 2025, with August 1, 2025 fixed as the record date, and payment to follow on or after August 13, 2025. Third, the Bank will seek shareholder approval at the AGM for raising capital of Rs. 500 crore (including premium) through the Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) route. The Bank noted it has sought similar enabling QIP approvals every year since FY 2009, though it only used the approval once, in FY 2014-15, to raise Rs. 350 crore.
Shareholders will receive a Rs. 2 per share dividend with a record date of August 1, 2025. The proposed Rs. 500 crore QIP is an enabling approval only and not an immediate dilution — it will only be exercised if the Bank decides to raise capital, which could modestly dilute existing shareholders when (or if) used.
