Clarification w. r. t announcement dated 19.09.2025 -Submission of reason for delay in intimation.
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
Videocon Industries has written to BSE explaining why the announcement of its statutory auditor's resignation (originally dated September 19, 2025) was filed late. The company blamed technical glitches in internal systems, limited manpower because it has been under insolvency proceedings since 2018, and slow coordination among insolvency process stakeholders. The letter is signed by the Resolution Professional, Mr. Abhijit Guhathakurta, who manages the company under the ongoing Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP). The company reminded BSE that trading in its shares has been suspended on both BSE and NSE since June 16, 2021, so no investor was harmed by the delay. It asked the exchange to not take any punitive action and assured that future disclosures will be timely.
This is a procedural explanation with no new financial or operational information. Since Videocon's shares have been suspended from trading since mid-2021, retail investors cannot buy or sell them, and the delayed auditor disclosure has no practical effect on shareholder value.
