Coal India Limited disclosed provisional Single Window Mode Agnostic (SWMA) E-auction data for April 2026. A total of 305.51 lakh tonnes of coal was offered across all subsidiaries, of which 117.74 lakh tonnes (39%) was allocated. The average premium over notified price stood at 51%. Subsidiary-wise, NCL and NEC achieved 100% allocation, while MCL and ECL had the lowest allocation rates at 23% each. Highest premiums were achieved by NEC (90%) and NCL (85%). This is a routine monthly disclosure under SEBI (LODR) regulations.
This is a routine operational update with no immediate material impact on shareholders. The e-auction premium of 51% indicates sustained demand for coal in the spot market, which is a mildly positive indicator for pricing power.
