Cochin Malabar Estates & Industries Ltd has opened a one-year special window (February 3, 2026 to February 4, 2027) to facilitate the transfer and dematerialisation of physical shares sold or purchased before April 1, 2019. This is in compliance with SEBI Circular dated January 30, 2026. The window also covers previously rejected, returned, or unattended transfer requests that were not processed due to document or procedural deficiencies. Shareholders must submit original share certificates along with transfer deeds and supporting documents to the company's Registrar & Transfer Agent, Maheshwari Datamatics Private Limited, or directly to the company. Requests without original certificates will not be entertained.
This is a routine compliance-driven initiative mandated by SEBI. Eligible shareholders holding old physical shares now have a one-time opportunity to convert them into demat form, improving liquidity and transparency. For the company, this will reduce administrative burden related to physical share transfers.
