Colgate-Palmolive (India) reported Q4 FY26 net sales of Rs 1,583 crore, up 9% YoY driven by broad-based portfolio performance and accelerated premiumization. Full-year net sales remained flat at Rs 5,984 crore (vs Rs 5,999 crore in FY25). Net profit after tax declined to Rs 1,325 crore from Rs 1,437 crore in the prior year, impacted by GST-related inverted duty structure charges and one-time items. The company recognized a total exceptional item of Rs 2,497 lakh (Rs 1,658 lakh severance costs + Rs 839 lakh one-time employee benefit cost due to new labour codes). The Board declared a second interim dividend of Rs 24 per share, bringing total FY26 dividend to Rs 48 per share. Cash and bank balances surged to Rs 14,262 lakh crore as of March 31, 2026. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified opinion with no going concern issues.
Revenue flatline and PAT decline of ~8% YoY reflect GST-related headwinds and one-off exceptional items. Strong Q4 recovery signals improving trajectory, but margin compression remains a concern. High dividend payout signals confidence despite earnings decline.
