CAMS, India's largest mutual fund RTA with ~68% market share by AAuM, reported Q1 FY'26 consolidated revenue of ₹35,415 lakh, up 6.9% year-on-year but down 0.6% quarter-on-quarter. Operating EBITDA grew 2.8% YoY to ₹15,482 lakh with margins at 43.7% (vs 45.4% YoY), while PAT rose marginally 0.8% YoY to ₹10,909 lakh (29.7% margin vs 31.5% YoY). Operational metrics were strong: CAMS AAuM crossed ₹50 Tn in June 2025, unique investors grew 27% YoY to 41.5 Mn, and new SIP registrations rose 19% YoY with market share improving to 67%. The company declared an interim dividend of ₹11 per share and held cash equivalents of ₹789 Cr. Beyond MF businesses grew 4.4% YoY, with CAMSKRA signing a definitive agreement to acquire the KRA business of NSE Data Analytics, adding 1.3 Mn KYC records.
Revenue and profit growth are modest, with margin compression of ~170 bps YoY in EBITDA and ~180 bps in PAT, suggesting cost pressures despite strong operational tailwinds from record AAuM and SIP market share gains. The KRA acquisition and the ₹11 interim dividend are positive shareholder actions, but flat Q-o-Q performance may temper near-term stock enthusiasm.
