Computer Point Limited has filed its 40th AGM notice along with the Annual Report for FY 2024-2025. Total income was Rs. 139.94 lakhs versus Rs. 138.53 lakhs in the previous year, a marginal increase of about 1%. Profit before tax improved slightly to Rs. 1.66 lakhs from Rs. 1.07 lakhs, but tax expense jumped sharply to Rs. 13.30 lakhs (from Rs. 0.25 lakhs) due to prior-period tax adjustments against an old demand under appeal. As a result, the company slipped into a net loss of Rs. 11.63 lakhs compared with a profit of Rs. 0.82 lakhs in FY24, and accumulated losses carried forward stand at Rs. 302.21 lakhs. No dividend has been recommended. Key changes include a mid-year statutory auditor switch (Accharya Swapan & Co. resigned on 30 Nov 2024, Arun Jain & Co. appointed from 1 Dec 2024), a new Company Secretary, and the appointment of a new Independent Director.
Shareholders should note the swing to a net loss driven by one-time prior-period tax adjustments rather than operations, but the growing accumulated losses and the mid-year auditor change are areas of concern. No dividend will be paid, and the AGM will also seek approval for a new statutory auditor and a new Independent Director.
