Container Corporation of India (CONCOR), a Navratna CPSE under the Government of India, held its 37th AGM on September 25, 2025, chaired by CMD Shri Sanjay Swarup. For FY 2024-25, the company reported its highest-ever performance with throughput of 5.09 million TEUs (up 7.94%), gross turnover of Rs. 9,329 crore (up 3.53%), and net profit of Rs. 1,272 crore (up 3.35%). Three interim dividends of 190% (Rs. 9.50 per share) were already paid and a final dividend of 40% (Rs. 2 per share) was proposed, taking the total dividend payout to Rs. 700.69 crore. Bonus shares were allotted in a 1:4 ratio (the fifth such issue), and shareholder count rose to 3.67 lakh from 2.95 lakh. Shareholders approved 13 resolutions including adoption of accounts, director appointments, appointment of statutory and secretarial auditors, and an increase in authorized share capital. The chairman outlined a target of 100 terminals and 500 rakes by 2028, alongside expansion into freight forwarding, air cargo, and overseas markets via INSTC and IMEEC routes.
For shareholders, this AGM reinforces CONCOR's position as a steady performer with record-high profits, consistent dividends (55% payout ratio), and a recent bonus issue. The strong capex of Rs. 810 crore, expansion plans to 100 terminals by 2028, and diversification into new logistics segments signal continued growth, though the modest single-digit growth in turnover and profit may limit sharp upside in the stock price in the near term.
