Continental Petroleums has filed copies of its newspaper publication of the unaudited standalone financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2025, which appeared in Jansatta (Hindi) and Financial Express (English) on 12 August 2025, as required under SEBI LODR Regulation 47. Total income from operations was Rs. 1,840.56 lacs, down roughly 48% year-on-year from Rs. 3,538.86 lacs and about 31% lower than the previous quarter's Rs. 2,685.53 lacs. Net profit before tax stood at Rs. 92.56 lacs (vs Rs. 185.43 lacs in Q1 FY25), while net profit after tax was Rs. 61.70 lacs compared with Rs. 128.94 lacs a year ago but up from Rs. 34.44 lacs in the preceding quarter. Basic and diluted EPS for the quarter was Rs. 1.11 versus Rs. 2.41 in Q1 FY25, with equity share capital unchanged at Rs. 278.03 lacs (face value Rs. 5). The company's segments remain lubricants and grease manufacturing and distribution, incineration services, and turnkey projects.
The sharp year-on-year drop in both revenue and profit points to significant weakness in the core lubricants business, which may concern investors despite the modest sequential improvement in profit. Shareholders should look for management commentary explaining the steep revenue decline before reading too much into the bounce-back quarter.
