Coromandel International reported strong Q1 FY26 results with standalone total income rising 49% year-on-year to Rs. 7,083 Crore, up from Rs. 4,768 Crore in the same quarter last year. Standalone EBITDA grew 46% to Rs. 738 Crore, while profit after tax (PAT) surged 54% to Rs. 508 Crore. The Nutrient and Allied Business led the growth with revenue up 50% to Rs. 6,311 Crore, while the Crop Protection segment posted a 31% revenue increase to Rs. 724 Crore with margins expanding 75%. The phosphatic fertiliser business recorded 31% volume growth, and the Crop Protection segment launched 10 new products. Consolidated PAT stood at Rs. 502 Crore versus Rs. 309 Crore last year. Early monsoon and higher crop sowings aided demand.
Very positive earnings beat across revenue, profitability, and segment performance signals strong operational momentum, likely to be viewed favourably by the market. Strategic moves like the additional 17.69% stake acquisition in Senegal-based BMCC, a long-term DAP supply deal with Saudi Arabia's Maaden, and new granulation capacity at Kakinada further strengthen long-term growth prospects for shareholders.
