Cosmo Ferrites shared its Q4 and FY25 results via an investor presentation. Revenue fell to Rs. 85.66 crore in FY25 from Rs. 97.76 crore in FY24, while EBITDA collapsed to Rs. 3.94 crore from Rs. 10.13 crore, with margins halving to 5% from 10%. The company slipped into a deeper loss with PAT at -Rs. 5.66 crore vs -Rs. 1.98 crore last year, and EPS at -Rs. 4.70 vs -Rs. 1.65. Management attributed the decline to cheap Chinese dumping in the domestic market and weak European demand. On the positive side, the government imposed a 35% anti-dumping duty on Chinese ferrite imports for 5 years following the company's request, and fixed overheads were cut from Rs. 33 crore to Rs. 27 crore.
Shareholders saw significant margin compression and wider losses in FY25, though the anti-dumping duty and new high-end Top Hat Kiln capacity could support a recovery. The stock may react positively to the duty win, but near-term profitability remains under pressure as the benefits will take time to flow through.
