Cosmo Ferrites Limited, a manufacturer of soft ferrite cores for power electronics, shared its Q2 FY26 investor presentation. Net revenue rose to Rs. 2,530 lakhs from Rs. 2,120 lakhs in Q2 FY25, a roughly 19% year-on-year jump driven by higher domestic volumes. EBITDA doubled to Rs. 212 lakhs with margin improving to 8% from 5% YoY, and the net loss narrowed sharply to Rs. 57 lakhs from Rs. 197 lakhs a year ago. The company is expanding its Ni-Zn ferrite portfolio (10 new customers last year, 2 more in Q4) and is benefiting from a 35% anti-dumping duty on cheaper imports effective March 18, 2025. Growth levers include a new Top Hat Kiln for high-end applications, increased automation, and entry into sendust cores for EV and solar use. Notably, revenue and EBITDA declined sequentially from Q1 FY26 (Rs. 2,692 lakhs and Rs. 300 lakhs), and the company remains in net loss territory.
Improving YoY profitability and the anti-dumping duty tailwind are positive signals for a turnaround, but the sequential dip and persistent losses suggest the recovery is still early-stage. Shareholders should watch for sustained margin gains and capacity utilization in coming quarters.
