Cosmo Ferrites reported Q2 FY26 revenue from operations of ₹2,530 lakhs, up about 19.3% from ₹2,120 lakhs in Q2 FY25, driven by higher domestic volumes after anti-dumping duties. EBITDA doubled YoY to ₹212 lakhs (₹106 lakhs in Q2 FY25), with EBITDA margin improving to ~8.4% from ~5.0%. However, the company slipped back into a loss at the bottom line with PAT of -₹57 lakhs versus a profit of ₹5 lakhs in Q1 FY26 and a narrower loss of -₹197 lakhs in Q2 FY25. Export headwinds were flagged as a challenge, with management expressing optimism on better export volumes ahead. The company continues to focus on power electronics, EV/hybrid vehicles, and solar inverter segments.
Mixed picture for shareholders — YoY revenue and EBITDA growth are encouraging and losses have narrowed versus last year, but QoQ deterioration (revenue down ~6%, PAT turning negative) and continued export challenges suggest near-term pressure on profitability.
