Craftsman Automation submitted its FY2025 annual investor presentation to the exchanges. Consolidated revenue grew 28% YoY to ₹5,690 crore, the highest ever, driven mainly by the Aluminium Products segment (up 41% to ₹3,033 crore). However, profitability came under significant pressure — EBITDA fell 4% to ₹859 crore and PAT dropped 40% to ₹201 crore. The Powertrain segment saw a 14% revenue decline to ₹1,558 crore, and the Industrial & Engineering segment's EBIT plunged 62% to ₹19 crore despite modest revenue growth. Capex remained aggressive at ₹1,088 crore, with recent acquisitions (Fronberg in Germany, Sunbeam, DR Axion) contributing to diversification into aluminium, iron castings for stationary engines, and EV components. The company has 26 manufacturing facilities across India and Germany.
Despite record revenues, the sharp 40% drop in PAT and segment-level margin compression — especially in Powertrain and Industrial & Engineering — is a clear negative signal for near-term earnings. Investors will likely focus on the margin trajectory and whether the heavy capex and acquisitions translate into improved profitability in the coming year.
