Cravatex Limited has published a newspaper notice informing shareholders about the mandatory transfer of unclaimed dividends and equity shares to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). This applies to shareholders who have not encashed dividends for the financial year 2018-19 and the last 7 consecutive years. Under Section 124(5) and 124(6) of the Companies Act 2013, companies must transfer unpaid dividends and shares to IEPF after 7 years of the dividend becoming unclaimed. The company has uploaded details of affected shareholders on its website and sent individual notices. Shareholders must claim their unpaid dividends on or before 30th September 2026 to avoid transfer to IEPF. After transfer, claims can still be made through IEPF e-form 5.
Shareholders holding unclaimed dividends from FY 2018-19 or later risk losing their dividends and shares if not claimed before 30 September 2026. Affected shareholders should contact the Registrar and Share Transfer Agent (MUFG Intime India Pvt. Ltd.) immediately with required KYC documents.
