Cravatex Ltd reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited results on August 12, 2025. On a standalone basis, the company posted a profit after tax of Rs. 44.21 lakhs, up from Rs. 29.01 lakhs in the same quarter last year, with revenue from operations of Rs. 144.14 lakhs. On a consolidated basis, the picture turned negative — the company slipped into a loss of Rs. 136.77 lakhs against a profit of Rs. 48.37 lakhs in Q1 FY25, as total income declined modestly to Rs. 2,833.65 lakhs from Rs. 2,925.53 lakhs. The bulk of the pain came from its UK and European subsidiaries (BB UK Ltd and BB Euro GmbH), which together reported a loss after tax of Rs. 180.99 lakhs on total income of Rs. 2,554.16 lakhs. The auditor (GPS & Associates) issued an unmodified limited review conclusion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Shareholders should note a sharp swing in consolidated profitability from a profit to a loss despite only a modest revenue dip, signaling margin compression or one-off pressures in the overseas subsidiaries. The standalone result remains positive, but the consolidated loss is a concerning flag that could weigh on the stock in the near term.
