CreditAccess Grameen, a microfinance NBFC, shared its business update for December 2025 with provisional numbers. The gross loan portfolio grew to Rs 26,566 crore in Dec-25 from Rs 25,904 crore in Sep-25. Quarterly disbursements rose to Rs 5,805 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 5,331 crore in Q2 FY26, with December alone showing a 26% jump in monthly disbursements. Asset quality is improving — collection efficiency on the X-bucket (loans with no overdue) stood strong at 99.71%, and new overdue additions (PAR accretion) have slowed sharply since November 2025 across all states. The company added 2.1 lakh new borrowers and 15 new branches in Q3, taking the total network to 2,222 branches. Overall PAR 0+ improved from 4.7% to 4.4%, though older buckets (PAR 90+) ticked up slightly to 2.9%, partly due to Rs 259 crore of write-offs in the quarter. Karnataka, a key state, is returning to healthier asset quality trends.
Positive for shareholders — the update signals that asset quality stress is easing, growth is reaccelerating after a slow patch, and collections remain robust. The combination of higher disbursements and improving PAR trends typically supports better future earnings, though slightly higher PAR 90+ warrants watch.
