Crisil Limited has filed its Q2 FY2025 corporate presentation with the exchanges. Q2 income from operations rose 5.7% year-on-year to ₹843.0 crore, with profit before tax up 8.2% to ₹225.0 crore and profit after tax up 14.3% to ₹171.6 crore. For H1 FY2025, income grew 7.9% to ₹1,656.2 crore, PBT grew 12.1% to ₹452.2 crore, and PAT grew 15.1% to ₹331.4 crore. The Ratings segment delivered strong growth with Q2 revenue up 18% to ₹250.7 crore and margins steady at 40.9%, supported by a rebound in bond issuances. The Research, Analytics & Solutions (RAS) segment was subdued with Q2 revenue up just 1.3% to ₹592.3 crore and margins slipping to 20.1% from 20.9%, reflecting curtailed discretionary spending by global clients. The company declared a higher interim dividend of ₹9 per share (vs ₹8 in Q2 FY24) and highlighted growth in the Global Analytics Centre driven by new S&P Global engagements.
The strong Ratings segment performance and 12.5% dividend hike are positives for shareholders, but flat RAS growth and ongoing global discretionary spending headwinds may temper near-term sentiment on the stock.
