Crompton reported Q4 FY26 revenue of Rs. 2,283 Cr (up 11% Y-o-Y), driven by 10% growth in ECD and industry-leading 14% growth in lighting. EBIT margins improved sharply from 6.8% in H1 to ~10% in Q4, with Q4 EBITDA at Rs. 271 Cr (11.9% margins). The company launched a new super-premium product line called 'Crompton Rhion' under Swetha Sagar's leadership. Butterfly Gandhimathi delivered 17% revenue growth with steady EBIT margins and ~Rs. 170 Cr cash, while the company took an impairment on Butterfly's holding value aligning it with business fundamentals with no cash flow impact. New segments (solar rooftops, solar pumps, wires) are ramping up — solar rooftops has ~Rs. 500 Cr order book with 5,000+ homes installed, and solar pumps scaled from Rs. 20 Cr to Rs. 200 Cr and grew significantly again. BLDC fans portfolio growing at 30%+. Price increases of 7-8% taken in fans to offset material cost inflation from geopolitical headwinds. Dividend maintained at previous year level.
Strong execution with margin recovery to 10% EBIT in Q4 and new growth avenues (Rhion, solar, wires) position the company well for FY27, though input cost inflation remains a watch item.
