CSB Bank reported strong FY26 results with 21% growth in balance sheet size to Rs 57,727 crore. Gross advances grew 27% to Rs 40,359 crore while deposits increased 20% to Rs 44,246 crore. The bank reported a 7% rise in profit after tax to Rs 633 crore, though NIM contracted to 3.76% from 4.13% in FY25, indicating margin pressure. Asset quality improved with Net NPA declining to 0.40% from 0.52%. The bank has completed its Sustain and Build phase under its SBS 2030 strategy and is now entering the Scale phase from FY27 onwards with plans to become a full-service private sector bank with national presence.
The 7% PAT growth with strong loan book expansion is positive, but the declining NIM and ROA suggest margin compression and slower return improvement. Investors should monitor the bank's ability to maintain asset quality while scaling operations and investing in technology transformation.
