Cyient Semiconductors, a subsidiary of Cyient Ltd, has launched seven new gallium nitride (GaN) power integrated circuits for the Indian market, developed using Navitas Semiconductor's technology. This is India's first domestic GaN power IC family and marks Cyient's entry into high-performance power semiconductors. The products target emerging applications in AI data centers, telecommunications, consumer fast charging, industrial power systems, and e-mobility platforms. The partnership, announced in December 2025, allows Cyient to license Navitas's GaN technology for India use and serve as a second source for select existing Navitas devices. First product sampling is expected by June 2026.
This launch positions Cyient to capture growth in India's power semiconductor market aligned with 'Make in India' initiatives, potentially creating a new revenue stream beyond its existing ASIC services. The strategic partnership with Navitas strengthens supply chain resilience and local support for customers.
