Dabur India reported a 3% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 514 crore for Q1 FY26, up from Rs 500 crore a year ago, on consolidated revenue of Rs 3,405 crore (up ~2%). Operating profit grew 2%, outpacing topline growth despite inflationary headwinds. Unseasonal rains hurt the summer-centric portfolio (beverages, glucose), but the ex-seasonal business grew 7%. Strong category-level growth was seen in Toothpaste (7.3%), Home Care (10.1%), Digestives (7.7%), Skin & Salon (9.2%), Hair Care (7%), and Real Activ juices (20%). International business grew 13.7% in constant currency, led by the UK (41%) and Turkey (36%).
Modest headline numbers mask underlying strength: broad-based market share gains, robust distribution expansion, and resilient rural demand are positive structural signals. However, weather-led softness in summer categories and only mid-single-digit profit growth may cap near-term excitement. Neutral-to-mildly positive for the stock.
