Dai-Ichi Karkaria Ltd has informed BSE about a communication sent to shareholders holding physical shares, requesting them to update their KYC details with the company's Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA), MUFG Intime India Private Limited. The mandatory KYC requirements include PAN (linked with Aadhaar), address with PIN code, mobile number, bank account details, and specimen signature. Email address and nomination details are optional but encouraged. This follows SEBI's regulatory mandate that from April 1, 2024, dividends for physical shareholders with incomplete KYC will be paid only through electronic mode. The company has provided multiple submission methods including in-person verification, hard copy, and e-sign options.
Physical shareholders who fail to update their KYC details may face delays or issues in receiving dividend payments, as the RTA requires complete mandatory details before processing dividend credits. The company is encouraging shareholders to dematerialize their physical shares for better market liquidity.
