Dalmia Bharat Sugar reported Q4 FY26 revenue of Rs. 991 crore (-2% YoY) and full-year revenue of Rs. 3,618 crore (-3% YoY). While sugar sales volume fell 8% to 5.5 LMT, the company achieved an all-time high average sugar NSR of Rs. 39.7/kg (+4.5% YoY). EBITDA margin contracted to 11.78% from 12.82% in the prior year, with operating EBITDA down 11% to Rs. 426 crore. PAT dropped sharply by 35% to Rs. 238 crore due to higher costs and one-time items. The company cited ongoing margin pressures from cane pricing and cane availability challenges, though operational efficiencies and product mix management partially offset these headwinds. The board recommended a dividend of Rs. 1.50 per share.
The stock faces pressure as profitability fell significantly (PAT down 35%) despite higher sugar realizations, indicating cost pressures outweigh pricing benefits. EBITDA margin contraction signals margin stress that may persist if cane costs remain elevated.
