Dalmia Bharat reported its best-ever annual EBITDA of Rs 3,083 crores (up 28%) and PAT of Rs 1,157 crores (up 65%) for FY26. Q4 standalone EBITDA stood at Rs 902 crores with the lowest quarterly cost per ton in five years at Rs 3,790. The company faces cost headwinds from the West Asia conflict, with petcoke prices soaring to $160/ton, expecting a Rs 125-150 per ton cost impact in Q1 FY27. However, April price hikes have been implemented and management is confident of protecting margins. Capacity expansion is on track with Belgaum ahead of schedule and Kadapa slightly delayed to Q2-Q3 FY28. The company targets 72-75 million tons capacity by FY28 and aims to grow ahead of the industry in FY27.
Strong profitability trajectory with industry-lowest cost position provides cushion against raw material inflation. Capacity expansion plans remain intact, but near-term margin pressure from geopolitical-driven cost increases could limit upside in H1 FY27 despite price hike attempts.
