Dalmia Bharat's wholly-owned subsidiary Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited has completed acquisition of a cement undertaking from Jaiprakash Associates Limited and Adani Infra (India) Ltd. The acquired assets include plants at Rewa (Madhya Pradesh), Churk, Chunar and Sadwa (Uttar Pradesh) with 5.2 MnTPA cement capacity and 3.3 MnTPA clinker capacity. The transaction was executed as per a Business Transfer Agreement dated May 21, 2026. Jaiprakash Associates had been acquired by the Adani Group under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code. Following this completion, Dalmia Bharat's total cement capacity stands at 54.7 MnTPA.
The acquisition enhances Dalmia Bharat's production capacity by ~10.5% and strengthens its presence in central India. This is positive for shareholders as it adds scale and operational assets to the company's core cement business.
