Deccan Gold Mines announced encouraging drilling results from its Bhalukona Nickel-Copper-PGE Project in Chhattisgarh, significantly expanding the mineralised system. Drilling confirmed a broad corridor of nickel, copper and palladium mineralisation extending over 430 metres strike length and 200m depth, with the zone remaining open and potentially extending across a 1.3 km target. Key intersections include 15m at 0.31% NiEq, 36m at 0.23% NiEq, and 6m at 0.39% NiEq, with high-grade zones up to 1.29% NiEq. The company has completed approximately 1,500 metres of diamond drilling across nine holes. The project is among India's first critical minerals licences granted under the Government's strategic push for domestic critical minerals exploration.
This positive exploration update strengthens Deccan Gold's position as India's only listed critical minerals company and advances its potential to develop India's first Nickel-Copper-PGE mine. While this is an early-stage exploration announcement without immediate revenue impact, successful resource definition could be highly significant for India's critical minerals supply chain and resource security ambitions.
