Deepak Fertilizers has sent reminder letters to shareholders whose dividends have remained unpaid or unclaimed for seven or more consecutive years (from FY2017-18 onwards). Under Section 124(6) of the Companies Act, 2013, shares linked to such unclaimed dividends will be compulsorily transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) Authority. Shareholders have been given until 31st August 2025 to claim their dividends by submitting PAN, address proof, cancelled cheque, and a signed application to the company's registrar KFin Technologies. After the deadline, both the unclaimed dividend amounts and the corresponding shares will be moved to the IEPF Suspense Account without further notice.
This is a routine regulatory compliance communication and does not impact the company's operations or financial performance. Shareholders who have unclaimed dividends from FY2017-18 or earlier should act before 31st August 2025 to avoid losing their shares to the IEPF, from where recovery is possible but involves a longer process via Form IEPF-5.
