NTPC has declared commercial operation of the second and final 52 MW part of the 245 MW capacity at Plot-3 of its Nokh Solar PV Project in Rajasthan, effective June 22, 2025. The first part of 193 MW had already achieved COD on June 9, 2025. With this commissioning, NTPC's total standalone commercial capacity has reached 60,318 MW and group commercial capacity has risen to 81,420 MW. The project is part of the CPSU Scheme Phase-II, Tranche-III. This is a routine capacity addition aligned with NTPC's ongoing renewable energy expansion plans.
This is a planned capacity addition and is unlikely to cause any sharp movement in NTPC's stock price. It incrementally strengthens NTPC's renewable energy portfolio and contributes to long-term revenue generation from solar power.
