NTPC has declared Commercial Operation Date (COD) for 193 MW out of the 245 MW capacity at Plot-3 of its Nokh Solar PV Project (total 3x245 MW) in Rajasthan, effective from 00:00 hrs on 09.06.2025. This is a partial commissioning, with the remaining 52 MW at Plot-3 yet to be declared commercially operational. With this addition, NTPC's total installed and commercial capacity rises to 59,606 MW on a standalone basis and 80,708 MW on a group basis.
This incremental capacity addition strengthens NTPC's renewable energy portfolio and contributes to its overall installed capacity growth. Positive for long-term investors as it reflects execution of the company's solar expansion plans, though the impact on short-term stock price is likely limited given it is a partial COD of one plot.
