NTPC Green Energy Limited, a subsidiary of NTPC, announced that the first part capacity of 110.25 MW from the 1,255 MW Khavda-1 Solar PV Project in Gujarat has been declared on Commercial Operation Date (COD) effective from 00:00 hours on June 6, 2025. The project is being developed by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a stepdown subsidiary of NTPC through NTPC Green Energy Limited. With this commissioning, the total installed and commercial capacity of the NTPC group has reached 80,265 MW. The remaining capacity of the Khavda-1 project is expected to be commissioned in subsequent phases.
