Disclosure of receipt of request for reclassifciation of request from promoter/promoter group to public category
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
Burnpur Cement has informed the stock exchanges that it received requests on September 20, 2025 from five members of its promoter/promoter group asking to be reclassified as public shareholders under SEBI's Regulation 31A. The members are Ram Prasad Agarwal, Shakuntala Devi Agarwal, Suchitra Agarwal, Ram Prasad Agarwal (HUF), and Manoj Kumar Agarwal. Notably, all five currently hold zero equity shares (0% stake) in the company. They state they were tagged as promoter group members about 15 years ago during a preferential issue, but have had no role in the business or management since FY 2023-24. The Board of Directors will consider the reclassification request at its next meeting.
This is a largely administrative reclassification with no actual change in shareholding, since all five requesters hold 0% of the company. Once approved, the promoter group composition will be tidied up, but it does not alter anyone's economic interest or voting power in the company.
