Dishman Carbogen Amcis reported a strong Q1 FY26, with net revenue rising 35.2% year-on-year to ₹7,080.5 million, driven by a 45% jump in the CDMO segment to ₹6,112.5 million. EBITDA surged over five-fold to ₹1,406.8 million, pushing the EBITDA margin to 19.9% from 5.5% a year ago, supported by better mix in late-phase development projects and improved French operations. The company swung back to a profit of ₹234.1 million from a loss of ₹775.7 million in the same quarter last year. It highlighted a CHF 117 million new product development pipeline with 12 APIs in late Phase III, a CHF 25 million co-investment deal with a large Japanese customer, and a successful US FDA audit of the Naroda facility with zero observations. Net debt also came down to CHF 149.69 million from CHF 157.6 million.
Sharp margin recovery and strong CDMO growth signal a likely business turnaround, which is positive for the stock. However, investors should watch whether the margin gains and the new co-investment deal sustain in coming quarters.
