CRISIL Ratings has reaffirmed its highest short-term rating of 'CRISIL A1+' on Dolat Algotech's Rs. 350 crore Commercial Paper. The rating reflects the company's 40+ year track record in capital markets, strong risk management systems, and adequate capitalisation with consolidated networth of Rs. 3,009 crore as of September 2025, up from Rs. 2,872 crore in March 2025. Gearing remains low at 0.1 times with adequate liquidity of Rs. 761 crore as of February 2026. However, the company is facing earnings headwinds — H1FY26 profit after tax fell to Rs. 127 crore from Rs. 241 crore a year ago, and upcoming regulatory changes (higher STT, RBI's 100% bank guarantee collateral norm from April 2026) could pressure proprietary trading volumes. The rating action has been stable with no change in rating outlook.
Reaffirmation at the top-tier A1+ rating is a positive signal for the company's credit quality and ability to roll over short-term borrowings at competitive rates. However, the noted moderation in earnings and exposure to upcoming regulatory tightening may keep the stock sentiment neutral in the near term.
