US stock futures rose sharply on Thursday, with Nasdaq futures jumping over 2 percent after upbeat forecasts from Micron and Qualcomm reignited enthusiasm around artificial intelligence demand. Micron revealed customers had committed 22 billion dollars to secure its memory chips and surged 18 percent, while Qualcomm projected 15 billion dollars in data centre revenue by 2029 and gained 11.5 percent in premarket trade. The dollar headed for its biggest monthly gain in almost a year, pushing gold below 4,000 dollars an ounce and bitcoin under 60,000 dollars, while oil prices fell with Brent at 73.23 dollars and WTI at 69.81 a barrel. Investors now await the Federal Reserve's preferred PCE inflation gauge, expected at 4.1 percent annually.
